GASTON COUNTY, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- Angel Gabriel Castillo, of Gastonia, was sentenced to up to 18 years in prison after a jury convicted him of multiple counts of Trafficking Methamphetamine and Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell and Deliver a Schedule II Controlled Substance.
Police charged the 23-year-old following a series of controlled purchases from Castillo by confidential informants and undercover law enforcement officers.
The judge sentenced Castillo to two consecutive mandatory sentences of 70-93 months for the trafficking convictions, in addition to a third consecutive sentence of 13-25 months -- totaling 153-211 months imprisonment within the North Carolina Department of Adult Corrections.
