Coming off the program’s first playoff berth in 13 years, the Mountain View football team enters the 2025 season looking to build on last season’s success under a new head coach.

The Mountain Lions went 6-5 last fall and were 2-3 in the Class 3A North 1 League. They made the playoffs for the first time since 2011, losing in the first round to Windsor.

Justin Bise takes over the program this season, replacing Steve Frye, who led the Mountain Lions for four seasons.

Born in Ohio, Bise spent most of his life in Florida, he said. He eventually moved to Colorado because he has family in Centennial and Colorado Springs. In Colorado, he has made stops at Frederick, Rangeview, and most recently Pomona as an assistant coach.
