ARTESIA, N.M. (KRQE) — A southeast New Mexico hospital has broke ground on a Safe Haven Baby Box. Artesia General Hospital signed an agreement to install the box where parents can surrender a newborn anonymously. This comes nearly three years after a newborn was found dead in a trash bin at the hospital and the mother of that child was later charged.
