SEAFORTH – Police say a 77-year-old Huron East pedestrian was killed in an accident on the morning of Friday, Aug. 22.

Huron OPP said emergency crews were dispatched to a vehicle versus pedestrian collision on Main Street just before 7 a.m. Upon arrival, emergency services found the pedestrian who was taken to the hospital before being pronounced dead. Article content

Police said the driver of the involved pickup truck remained at the scene.

The cause of the collision is being investigated, and police said they would be on scene for several hours. Roads in the area were closed during the investigation.
