HAMILTON COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) — The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) will participate in a targeted traffic enforcement initiative this Labor Day weekend to address a growing number of deadly crashes on Highway 58.
The campaign, called Project 58 x 58, will run from Friday, August 29, 2025 through Monday, September 1.
It includes a coordinated effort by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO), Tennessee Highway Safety Office (THSO), Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP), the Chattanooga Police Department (CPD), and other agencies.
Their mission is to reduce fatalities on Highway 58.
The roadway has seen a rise in crashes and deaths in recent years.
