GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — West Michigan doctors are trying to navigate changes made this week to FDA COVID shot guidelines that reduce the number of people who qualify.
Dr. Andrew Jameson, the section chief of infectious disease and medical director of specialty medicine for Trinity Health West Michigan, says some of the recommendations make sense — but he has concerns about the process not being as transparent with how the decisions are being made.
“There are more restrictions from the FDA and the CDC this year than there has been in previous years. This particularly impacts kids and pregnant women,” Jameson said.
