CHARLES CITY, Iowa – A Floyd County resident has been arrested for child sex abuse.
Dakota John Janssen 33 of Charles City, is facing a charge of continuous sexual abuse of a child.
Court documents state that Janssen is accused of sexually abusing a child on at least three occasions between November 2018 and July 2025. Investigators say Janssen engaged in sex acts that were either done with force or against the will of the victim.
Continuous sexual abuse of a child in Iowa is a “B” felony in Iowa, punishable by up to 25 years in prison.
Jansses was booked into the Floyd County Jail on $25,000 cash only bond.
