COBBLE HILL — POLICE ARRESTED a truck driver who allegedly collided with a 30-year-old police officer motorcyclist at 8:27 a.m. Wednesday on the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway in Cobble Hill, then allegedly continued on his way as the motorcycle driver died in a fiery crash, police said Thursday.

Washington Heights resident Carlos Almanzar Toribio, 30, was arrested Wednesday night and charged with leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death, operating an unregistered vehicle and operating without a license plate. Police did not identify the victim pending family notification, but the Daily News reported that he was a four-year police veteran working in the 84th Precinct in Downtown Brooklyn.
