DALLAS — Dallas Wings’ rookie Paige Bueckers is speaking out following the shooting at a Catholic school that left two people dead and 17 others injured in her home state.
Ahead of the Wings’ matchup against the Connecticut Suns on Wednesday, Bueckers spoke to reporters where she addressed the shooting and her hopes for a change.
“It’s just really unfortunate. I hope there are stricter gun laws put in place so parents don’t have to worry about sending their kids to school,” Bueckers said.
The rookie athlete is a Minnesota native and a graduate of Hopkins High School.
