Neon has picked up worldwide rights to the upcoming horror Hokum starring Adam Scott from Emmy-nominated Severance , and will kick off talks with international buyers at TIFF next week.

Damian McCarthy directs the story of a reclusive novelist who retreats to a remote Irish inn to scatter his parents’ ashes and is beset by disturbing visions after he learns an ancient witch is believed to haunt the honeymoon suite.

Neon will release theatrically in the US in 2026. Cweature Features has come on as co-producer, alongside Image Nation and Spooky Pictures, as well as Team Thrives, who co-financed the project. The film is currently in post.
