WARREN COUNTY, Ky. – Several acres of land are damaged following a field fire in Warren County on Thursday.
At the scene, Ben Miciotto, a firefighter for Warren County Fire Department, said units were dispatched at 11:56 a.m. for a field fire.
Miciotto says a combine struck an electrical line, which sparked a fire.
He says about an acre was involved, which spread quickly to impact around five acres.
Barren River, Alvaton and Plano fire departments assisted on scene, and personnel were able to quickly extinguish the fire.
With dry conditions persisting in multiple areas, Warren County is among those currently under a burn ban. The community is encouraged to take extra precautions during this time.
