Scott Williams was caught off guard after being fined for a gesture aimed at Luke Humphries on stage.
The world number 36 was slapped with a financial penalty after the incident at the 2022 Grand Slam of Darts.
However, Williams has admitted he had 'no idea' what he had done when he was told about the fine.
It came after he had put his middle fingers up whilst stood behind Humphries in Wolverhampton three years ago.
His antics were caught on camera, though, with the Darts Regulation Authority (DRA) acting swiftly in response.
Williams was fined £250, but still feels hard done by after a separate fine earlier this year.
