KELOWNA - Several people have been injured in a boat crash that resulted in one vessel being lodged on top of another on Okanagan Lake near Kelowna, B.C.
BC Emergency Health Services spokesperson Bowen Osoko says three injured people were taken to hospital in stable condition, while four others went to hospital but did not appear to be hurt.
West Kelowna RCMP says several passengers on one of the boats sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say they've confirmed impairment and weather conditions were not factors in the collision and the matter remains under investigation.
It happened at approximately 8:40 p.m. on Wednesday, about 500 metres south of the William R. Bennett Bridge, which connects downtown Kelowna with West Kelowna.
