On Thursday at 3:57 p.m. a beach hazards statement was issued by the National Weather Service valid from 4 p.m. until Friday 7 a.m. in effect until Friday at 7 a.m. for Monroe, Wayne and Cayuga counties.

The weather service comments, "Strong currents and dangerous swimming conditions expected."

"Strong currents and dangerous swimming conditions," adds the weather service. "Stay out of the water to avoid dangerous swimming conditions."
