PINE BLUFF, Ark. — The Pine Bluff Police Department (PBPD) has arrested a man employed with LRSD for his involvement in an alleged sex crime involving a minor.

According to records from the Pine Bluff District Court, 22-year-old Joshua Watson was taken into custody following the alleged rape of a 13-year-old that happened in July.

He has since been charged with one count of rape, and his bond has been set for $45,000.

Watson was also ordered to have no contact with the victim and will be back in court on October 1, 2025.

According to the PBPD, Watson was a former Mr. University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff.

Officials with the J.A. Fair K-8 Preparatory School confirmed that Watson is a staff member on their campus.
