Scattered showers and thunderstorms, some strong to isolated severe, will be possible through the evening. Storms will weaken late with the chance of showers continuing overnight.

This pattern will continue through Labor Day weekend. Locally heavy rain, gusty wind, small hail and spin-up tornadoes will be possible with strong to severe storms. Models continue to show the best potential and coverage of rain will be during the afternoon and early evening.

The heaviest and most frequent rain will be along our beaches and I-95 corridor. Lighter rainfall totals with a less overall coverage is expected west of the St. Johns River to I-75.

The wet pattern and strong onshore flow will linger through the start of the week.
