AUSTIN (KXAN) — The city of San Marcos is inviting the community to construct a mosaic mural that will become the newest permanent art installation at the Downtown Mobility Hub.

Individuals, families and organizations are invited to assemble panels for a permanent mosaic mural designed by Austin-based artist J Muzacz, per a news release from the city. After graduating from the University of Texas and living abroad to paint murals around the world, Muzacz settled in Austin and co-founded The Mosaic Workshop in 2019. The east Austin studio hosts mosaic classes for patrons of all levels and specializes in large-scale, community-led mosaic murals.
