It took Jhostynxon Garcia almost a week, but he finally has his first hit in The Show.

After going 0-for-5 with two walks and five strikeouts in his first six plate appearances, the Boston Red Sox rookie notched his first Major League hit against the Baltimore Orioles on Thursday afternoon. Garcia ripped a leadoff double down the left-field line off Cade Povich to open the fifth inning, snapping out of his career-opening slump with an extra-base hit.

The 22-year-old celebrated at second base with the team’s signature “turbulence” dance . Unfortunately, the Red Sox stranded him there, squandering a chance to help him score his first career run and give Garrett Crochet some extra breathing room.
