SPRINGDALE, Ark. — The Schmieding Foundation donated $500,000 to go toward the expansion of Arkansas Children's Northwest Hospital (ACNW).

The Arkansas Children's Hospital (ACH) system is undergoing a $318 million expansion at the Little Rock location and ACNW with the ultimate goal of enhancing patient access and outcomes.

The Northwest Arkansas expansion broke ground in 2024 and aims to grow the hospital's surgical and clinical spaces and add more operating rooms, procedure rooms, and hospital beds.

Hospital officials said the pharmacy at the upgraded ACNW will be named in honor of the foundation's recent $500,000 gift.
