ANGELINA COUNTY, Texas (KTRE) - Multiple fire departments responded to two fires burning near Zavalla city limits.
According to the City of Huntington Volunteer Fire Department, a crew was dispatched to assist the Zavalla Volunteer Fire Department with a fire on Sycamore Street shortly after 11 a.m. Thursday.
The Moffett Fire Department and Central Volunteer Fire Department also brought tanker trucks to assist.
The fire started in a camper before spreading to a nearby shed and the surrounding grass.
According to Huntington VFD, the fire was mostly out when they and the other departments arrived.
However, as they were wrapping up the Sycamore Street fire a second grass fire was reported on James King Road.
