CASS COUNTY, Mich. -- Cass County Prosecutor Victor A. Fitz announced Tuesday that convicted felon Trevor Wallace was set to have a trial that morning for a felony charge of concealing stolen property over $1,000, habitual third offense, but before jury selection was set to begin, Wallace pled guilty as charged.

The property in the case was a fully mature, hardwood walnut tree said to be valued at around $2,000.

Wallace's current plea is his 10th felony conviction to go with two misdemeanor crimes on his record.

Wallace's previous felony convictions include three prior home invasions, a breaking and entering conviction, and a possession of burglary tools offense.

Other convictions include resisting police officers and at least one drug crime.
