WATSONVILLE — Community Bridges, a Watsonville-based nonprofit, has joined six California nonprofit associations in filing an amicus brief in support of an injunction that blocks the Trump administration from withholding funds from sanctuary jurisdictions.
The executive orders, originally issued by Trump in January and February, expand the federal government’s enforcement of immigration law, including withholding funding from sanctuary jurisdictions — areas that, in some way, limit the federal government’s ability to enforce immigration statutes.
