GEDDES, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) -- For many fairgoers, a stop at the Milk Bar is key for the 25-cent glass of ice-cold milk.

But for Shannon and Addison Brown of Tully, the story behind the counter is richer than anything poured into the glasses.

Sixteen-year-old Addison is one of New York State's Dairy Ambassadors, representing Onondaga County. She spends her days at the Fair showing her cattle that she's worked on since before the Fair gates opened. Back home, she cares for her cattle year-round, putting in long hours preparing them for the ring.

"Addison is amazing," said Dairy Product Specialist with the New York State Department of Agriculture, Shannon Brown, who's also Addison's father. "It's incredible watching her grow and develop the skills that she has."
