CENTRE COUNTY, Pa. — Although empty right now, Beaver Stadium will be full of fans when Penn State's first home football game of the 2025 season begins on Saturday.
During the off-season, the stadium has undergone renovations as part of a multi-year, $700 million construction project. Pete Cautilli from Penn State says it was needed for a couple of reasons.
"There's a lot of maintenance that needed to be done and so that's been bundled up into the project. Second of all, we wanted to expand and keep up with modernization and add suites, which enabled us to have different revenues come in," said Pete Cautilli, Penn State University Senior Associate Athletic Director for Capital Projects.
Beaver Stadium normally holds 106,572 people. However, they replaced the previous seating with tempor
