CITYWIDE — NEW YORK CITY PUBLIC SCHOOLS’ (NYCPS) LIBRARIES DEPARTMENT CELEBRATED THE MILESTONE on Thursday, Aug. 28 of lending its 10 millionth book from the NYCPS Citywide Digital Library (CDL) on Sora.

Launched in 2020 in response to the pandemic’s disruption of in-person learning and library access, the Citywide Digital Library was designed to place literature directly into students’ hands. Since then, the CDL has seen steady year-on-year growth in engagement and has grown into a cornerstone of literacy across NYC Public Schools, providing access to more than 61,000 e-books and audiobooks.
