A moped rider in his 50s is in serious condition after losing control and crashing into another vehicle in Waimanalo on Wednesday evening, according to Honolulu Emergency Medical Services.

EMS responded to the scene at Kalanianaole Highway and Mekia Street at 6:12 p.m.

Paramedics administered advanced life support to the man, who suffered multiple injuries, and took him to the hospital in serious condition.
