MIDDLETOWN, R.I. (WLNE) — The Rhode Island Department of Health recommended re-opening the swimming areas at Third Beach and Peabody’s Beach in Middletown due to bacteria counts returning to normal.
RIDOH said it monitors bacteria counts in bodies of water through Labor Day.
