A 21-year-old man is facing multiple charges in connection with a central Hamilton shooting earlier this month.

Hamilton police said the targeted shooting on Gibson Avenue near King Street West left no one injured on Aug. 3. Investigators have yet to identify the intended victim.

No other details about the incident were shared in a news release Thursday.

Police said the 21-year-old accused was arrested Aug. 26. He faces nine charges, including discharge of a firearm with intent, reckless discharge of a firearm and possession of a prohibited firearm.
