MOUNT VERNON — For nearly half a century, the Cedarhurst Art & Craft Fair has been one of Southern Illinois’ longest-running cultural traditions. This September, it will come to a close with a three-day grand finale at Cedarhurst Center for the Arts.

The 49th and final fair will run Sept. 5-7, featuring more than 70 artists, food vendors, children’s activities, live music and a special exhibit looking back on its history. Staff and volunteers say the farewell will be both a celebration and a sendoff.
