INDIANAPOLIS — Purdue University is introducing new academic programs at its Indianapolis campus to address in-demand fields. There is a significant need for more engineers in the Hoosier state, and leaders at Purdue University in Indianapolis are ensuring their students remain well after graduation.

"We are focused on retention in Indiana in Indianapolis," said David Umulis, Sr. Vice Provost, Purdue Univ. in Indianapolis. "There's a lot of activity, we're a fast-growing metro area, we're the radiopharmaceutical capital of the world and this workforce needs Purdue students."

Starting this school year, seven new programs will be available for students to take. Some of those programs include Bachelor of Science in actuarial science, integrated business and engineering, and a certificate in
