Yellowstone County residents have the chance to weigh in who will fill vacancies in the county’s highest court.
Gov. Greg Gianforte announced Thursday that six people had applied to the two vacant judge’s seats in Yellowstone County District Court. Local residents have until Sept. 29 to submit comments and letters of support and comments to the Governor’s Office. Applicants are required to get at least three letters of support to be considered for appointment by Gianforte.
The applicants for the two vacant seats include:
• Seth Cunningham, an attorney with Brown Law Firm, who specializes in civil litigation, personal injury, insurance defense, property and casualty litigation, construction claims and products liability, according to the firm’s website.
• Laurie Grygiel, currently a sta
