AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - On this segment of Hearts, Hope & Home, resources for families going through the adoption process are many, but funding can be hard to come by.
In 2024, the Heart Gallery of the Panhandle Plains made two donations of nearly $60,000 to help support families through the adoption process.
Nearly half of the money went to a licensed counselor in the area to help families after the adoption, providing long-term resources.
The money funded therapy for the adoptive and biological children, as well as the parents, including marriage and group counseling.
Officials say it is imperative that they maintain this funding so they can maintain these adoptive homes.
