BROOKLYN — Daleek Habersham, 26, of Brownsville, was sentenced Wednesday to 15 years in prison for a 2022 gang-related shooting that wounded a three-year-old girl, prosecutors said.

Authorities said Habersham, a member of the CHOO gang, opened fire on Riverdale Avenue near Amboy Street on March 25, 2022, striking the toddler in the shoulder as she left daycare with her father. The child survived after treatment at Brookdale Hospital. The target of the attack, a third man also with a child, had been mistakenly identified as a rival gang member.

Habersham pleaded guilty in June to attempted murder. He was among 32 gang members indicted in a takedown tied to 19 shootings across Brooklyn.
