LAGRANGE, Ga. (WTVM) - A LaGrange woman has been arrested after police say she is connected to several burglaries in the area.

On Aug. 27 around 6 p.m., officers with the LaGrange Police Department responded to a reported burglary on Elm Street. Officers set up a perimeter and used a police K9 to search the area. They soon located Sandra Slay, who matched the description provided by victims, walking away from the scene.

Detectives with the Criminal Investigations Division joined the case and determined that Slay was responsible for crimes connected to Juniper Street, Elm Street, and Waverly Way.

Slay was taken to the Troup County Jail on burglary and criminal trespass charges. Police say more charges could be added as the investigation continues.
