BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- The Shafter Police Department is remembering Sergeant Moises Martinez a year after his death.
In a post on social media officials with the police department said they are remembering him for his years of service and the ultimate sacrifice of protecting the community with the Shafter Police Department.
Shafter officials said there is no evidence of foul play or suspects associated with Martinez’s medical emergency, city officials said through a news release.
Sgt. Martinez began as a full-time officer with the Shafter Police Department in 2004 and was promoted to his current rank of Sergeant in 2023. According to the department, he was instrumental in developing the Police Activities
