BLUE HILL, Maine (WABI) - From Thursday to Monday, the Blue Hill Fair returns for another year, an event organizers say has become a Downeast Tradition since its start in 1891.
“It’s a lot of work and it’s fun to see it all come together,” describes Blue Hill Fair’s general manager Erik Fitch ahead of the gates opening. “It’s amazing that the year comes so quick. We’re kind of the signal of the end of the summer. So, for a lot of people, this is it. This is your last good weekend of the year.”
Despite incoming showers Friday and Saturday, Fitch says the weather won’t rain on the fair’s parade.
“I always say this place is always sunny,” Fitch says. “We’re going to be here, if there is any announcements, it will be on social media.”
