ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- The Elkhart County Sheriff's Office reports deputies responded to a two-vehicle crash in the 16000 block of S.R. 120 around 8:27 a.m. Wednesday.

Deputies learned a 2014 Ford Edge, driven by a 51-year-old Shipshewana man, was traveling west on S.R. 120 while a 2016 Ford Focus, driven by a 65-year-old Bristol man, was traveling east on S.R. 120.

The report states the Focus then began making a left turn into a private driveway which the 51-year-old driver didn't see.

That's when the Edge collided with the Focus.

The 51-year-old driver told authorities he attempted to avoid the collision but ended up striking the Focus' driver side end at an angle.

The driver of the Focus was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries, although he stated his hip hurt.
