Micah Parsons’ tenure with the Dallas Cowboys may have ended on a sour note, but he was sure to thank the organization and fans with a heartwarming message following his trade to the Green Bay Packers.

On Thursday afternoon, news broke that the Packers acquired Parsons from the Cowboys in exchange for star defensive tackle Kenny Clark and two first-round picks. Parsons then agreed to a four-year extension worth $188 million.

Parsons requested a trade from the Cowboys on Aug. 1, following a lack of progress in contract extension talks. 27 days later, the Packers managed to strike a deal to honor his request.
