A man wanted in connection with the killing of a Las Vegas woman in 2020 will be brought to the United States to face charges, according to a source with knowledge of the situation.

The source told the Las Vegas Review-Journal that Erick Rangel-Ibarra, a suspect in the killing of Lesly Palacio , is expected to be charged.

The Metropolitan Police Department scheduled a press conference for 4 p.m. on Thursday.

Lesly Palacio went missing on Aug. 29, 2020, according to Metro. Her body was found in Moapa Valley, near Valley of Fire State Park in September 2020.

Rangel-Ibarra’s father, Jose Rangel, admitted to helping his son, who was 25 at the time, move Palacio’s body and flee to Mexico, according to court records.
