DENVER (KDVR) — Nearly 30 new billboards will soon be going up around Denver that the Federal Bureau of Investigation says it hopes will catch a double homicide suspect.

It was December 2023 when police say the shooting happened at a bar near West Colfax and Sheridan about 1:30 in the morning. Two men were killed. Two others were hurt.

Now the FBI is putting out a wanted poster for the man they say is wanted in the double murder: 55-year-old Matthew LaDaniel Johnson.

“Criminals that threaten the safety of our community must be held accountable,” said FBI Denver Special Agent in Charge Mark Michalek.

Denver police and the FBI say 28 billboards will go up around Metro Denver asking the public for help finding the suspect.
