LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Friday should be at least a few degrees warmer than Thursday. It will then cool down again for the holiday weekend with good chances for showers and thunderstorms. Below average temperatures look to stick around for much of next week.
Friday will be partly to mostly cloudy with a chance of isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms. The best chance looks to be in Central and Western Nebraska. That same area might see some isolated severe thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening. Large hail and damaging winds are the main threats. The tornado threat is very low. There could be some areas of patchy fog Friday morning. Low temperatures will be in the upper 50s to low 60s with high temperatures in the mid 70s to low 80s.
