LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - A special board meeting with Fayette County Public Schools leaders was held on Thursday.
The virtual meeting was to discuss the projected budget deficit and plans for next steps.
This meeting was announced on Wednesday morning and started on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. It comes after learning several weeks ago that the district’s contingency fund, or “carry forward balance,” was likely going to be thousands of dollars less than anticipated .
