Two teams forever linked by a split national championship finally meet on the gridiron for the first time Friday night.

Colorado and Georgia Tech, both winners of the 1990 national championship due to the Buffaloes ranking No. 1 in the AP Top 25 and the Yellow Jackets edging out the top spot in the UPI Coaches’ Poll ( thanks to Nebraska coach Tom Osborne's vote ), will settle the score 35 years later with a collection of players who were all over a decade away from being born.

Colorado hosts Georgia Tech at Folsom Field at 6 p.m. (ESPN).
