BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - A school bus carrying six children was involved in what Bryan ISD is calling a “slow-speed” crash on Thursday morning.

The school district told KBTX a tanker backed into the bus. The Bryan Police Department (BPD) provided additional information, saying the driver of the tanker saw the bus approaching and thought it had passed by, making it clear to back out.

Video from a viewer shows the two vehicles after the crash near E 21st Street and Weaver Street in Bryan.

Bryan ISD stated six students were on board and no injuries were reported.

Police reported minor damage to the bus’s bumper, and the driver of the tanker received a citation for backing out unsafely.

Bryan ISD confirmed the bus was taking the students to Crockett Elementary.
