Rebecca Bisson and Brett Leavitt are both lifelong fans of the Mets, and they met in 2019 while she was managing a community event for the team and Leavitt, a marketing executive, was helping with a promotional partnership.

“He was just so easy to talk to,” Bisson recalled. “I don’t remember the exact moment we met, but I remember leaving that day feeling like I had known him forever.”

For Leavitt, the feeling was instant. “She glowed,” he said. “There was something about her. I just wanted to be around her more.”

Their friendship turned into romance months later, and over time, the two began to envision a future together.
