HOPE, Ark. (KTAL/KMSS) – For students at Hope High School and Yerger Middle School, their walk to class in the morning will be a little different from now on.

"We feel very good about our academic improvement," says Jonathan Crossley, superintendent of Hope Public School District. "We also want to take the same approach to our safety improvement. Every single day, be a little better than the day before."

That's why the Hope Public School District has installed OpenGate security systems at campus entrances.

"It's a management system for safety that allows us to vet students, volunteers, parents, whoever comes to the door to ensure safety for all of our students," says Crossley.
