Folks looking to visit the North Shore this weekend will have a variety of eating options and sports entertainment.

It all begins with the annual Kickoff and Rib Festival at Acrisure Stadium, featuring pit masters from several states trying to win the coveted crown as the best barbecue. Advertisement

Also during the weekend, baseball exhibition performances by the Savannah Bananas will take place at PNC Park on Saturday on Sunday.

While all of that is going on, Pitt and Duquesne will kick off the college football season at Acrisure Stadium. The game on Saturday will be their first meeting since 1939.
