Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) is escalating her growing feud with a key lobbying group in the United States on behalf of Israeli interests — putting the far-right congresswoman on an unlikely collision course with policy advocates who generally have strong support within the GOP.

Greene, who in the past has raised eyebrows for conspiracy theories about Jewish space lasers, stunned some political observers by becoming one of the first Republican members of Congress to characterize the mass deaths of Palestinians in Gaza as Israeli forces occupy the territory as a "genocide."

“It’s the most truthful and easiest thing to say that Oct 7th in Israel was horrific and all hostages must be returned, but so is the genocide, humanitarian crisis, and starvation happening in Gaza,” she wrote.

The American Israel Public Affairs Committee, or AIPAC, responded with harsh criticism, comparing Greene to the Muslim members of the Squad in Congress, who have been outspoken critics of Israeli military policy. “You expect anti-Israel smears from Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar. But now, Marjorie Taylor Greene has joined their ranks – spouting the same vile rhetoric and voting against the US-Israel alliance.”

Over the weekend, AIPAC turned up the rhetoric further, posting to X, ".@RepMTG has gone full Squad. Same message, same legislation, same anti-Israel vision. The horrible war is only happening because Hamas refuses to free the hostages & surrender power. Yet, MTG and her friends in the Squad won’t take any action to pressure Hamas to end it. Why?"

Greene hit back on Thursday evening, accusing AIPAC of violating the Foreign Agents Registration Act, which requires public registration and disclosure of anyone being paid to advocate on behalf of a foreign country.

"Instead of lying about me, have all you foreign agents at AIPAC registered under FARA yet?" she wrote. "Not only are you a bunch of liars, you are breaking the law."

U.S. support for the Israeli invasion has been consistent since the Oct. 7 attack, and has only expanded since President Donald Trump took office. The president came under fire earlier this month amid allegations that they helped an Israeli official busted in a child sex trafficking sting in Nevada return to his country, a charge the administration denies.
