RICHWOOD, WV (WVNS) - The Richwood Lumberjacks are coming off a disappointing 1-9 season.

Several of their score lines in 2024 were not close, but they did show signs of life in some games.

Coach Jon Malcomb said the team has been working to be able to rise to the occasion in every game and capitalize on the closer games.

With their new school just recently opening earlier this month, Coach Malcomb hopes they can turn the page for Richwood football.

“We are trying to get that Lumberjack pride back that we have had in the past. We have a really talented athletic group of boys. I think we are getting better every day,” said Malcomb.

Malcomb said he thinks this team has some athletes that could make things interesting on Friday nights.
