AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - Amarillo police arrested a man for organized retail theft after officials say they recovered $80,000 in property.

Police say earlier in the week, detectives with the Amarillo Police Department’s Theft and Burglary Squad served a search warrant at a home on Tampa Bay near Georgia.

During the operation, police arrested Adam Moreno for organized retail theft.

Police say Moreno and his associates have been under investigation for about two months.

During the search, police say they recovered about $80,000 worth of stolen merchandise.

Detectives spent about three hours going through the items to properly document and inventory the property.

Police say the investigation was made possible with the help of multiple agencies, including the Amarillo Police Department
